• Contradiction of Responsibility: At 18, Americans can vote, sign legal contracts, own rifles and shotguns, live independently, and enlist in the military—but they can’t legally buy a handgun from a licensed dealer?
• Limiting Constitutional Rights: The Second Amendment does not age out. Rights delayed are rights denied.
• Discriminatory Enforcement: This ban arbitrarily targets law-abiding citizens simply because of their age, violating the principles of equal treatment under the law.
• Potential Life-Saving Tools Denied: In dangerous situations, especially for those in high-crime areas or domestic abuse survivors, a handgun might be the only practical and portable self-defense option.”

A Step in the Right Direction: SAF’s Supreme Court Appeal

Their appeal falls in line with the Supreme Court’s recent emphasis on originalist interpretations of the Constitution, as shown in the pivotal New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v.
